This policy explains what personal information PropertyPotato Realty collects through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
We collect what you give us, whether you type it into a form here or give it to us directly:
- When you inquire about a property: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
- When you ask us to list your property: the above, plus the property address, what you want to do with it, your asking price if you give one, your timeline, and any details you add.
- When you subscribe to updates: your email address.
- When you contact us another way: if you message us on Facebook, Viber, or by text or phone, we record the same kind of details, your name and how to reach you, along with what you asked about, so that we can follow it up. We record what you tell us; we do not copy anything else from your social media profiles.
- Automatically: a count of how many times each property page is opened. This is a page total only. It is not linked to you and does not identify you.
We do not ask for, and this website has no way to accept, government identification numbers, bank or card details, or any payment information.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your inquiry and help you buy, sell, or rent a property.
- To arrange viewings and appointments you ask for.
- To send you new properties and updates, if you asked us to. You can stop these at any time.
- To keep a record of our dealings with you, which we need for our own business records.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who can see it
Your information is visible to our licensed brokers and staff who are working with you. It is stored using service providers who host this website and send our email on our behalf, and who may process it outside the Philippines. We share it further only where we are required to by law, or where you have asked us to (for example, referring you to a lender).
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and then delete them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Transaction documents — signed agreements, deeds and titles, tax declarations, statements of account — are stored privately, are visible only to us, and are deleted automatically five years after we receive them. We keep a record of when each document was added, opened, and removed. We do not ask for, and do not store, scans or photographs of identification documents through this website.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information, or object to how we are using it.
- Give you a copy of what you provided.
- Stop sending you marketing messages, which you can do at any time and for any reason.
You also have the right to complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics on it. Your browser may store small amounts of data to keep the site working, and the map view loads map tiles from a third-party map provider, which will see your IP address as any website request does.
